Gosh, 50,000 hits, and two weeks before I reckoned.
Thanks to you all for coming, whether once or more frequently: it is amazing to have connected, however briefly, with so many people around the world, and gives me huge pleasure.
According to my stats and clustrmap there are at least 45 of you returning visitors who have each clocked up between 100 and 999 visits to my blog.Yet I have only heard from about 25 of you.

The last thing I wish to do is to put any pressure on anyone, but I would love to know a little about you shrinking violets. Or do you just prefer to drop by anonymously thereby creating no expectations?
South America and South Africa figure less frequently but there are two of you each in both India and Australia who appear to look in regularly. Europe and North America figure so prominently that I cannot list you all here, but if you care to click on my clustr map you may see yourself. There is a list of Countries beneath the map and if you click on a country, a list of States or Cities will pop up: you may find yourself there:)
I am not making any demands, that would be unwarrantable, but I am just so interested in people from other countries and cultures and would love to know who likes to come by from time to time.
But we’ll leave it there, no pressure!

Congratulations on the bit 5-0!
Yes, that was meant to be the BIG 5-0, not bit! Sorry!
Where’s the cake? I was told there would be cake and spirits….. It’s OK…. I’ll wait
There you are, tea and cake, just needed a little patience. Spirits . . . . I don’t think so, this is a respectable establishment:)
No spirits? Oops…I forgot I was not in Ireland……
Happy 50,000th! That’s a LOT of candles to put on the cake….. the cake which I am still patiently waiting for by the way…… (just sayin)
Congrats! Also on having all these “secret admirers” all over the world. You can be counting your blessings!
Thank you very much. I am very grateful to them for their interest:)
Congratulations are in order!
Before you know it the 100,000 hit is on its way.
I’m not so much aiming for lots of hits as just very gratified with those I have! One blog friend finds that replying to his huge number of followers can be rather irksome:( I am very happy with the ones I have, but I would like to know about some of the regulars who never comment:)
Back when my blog was public, I used to wonder the same thing about lurkers.
Its a strange feeling isn’t it?
Yum, thank you.
The lurking thing is odd to me. My mom lurks on my blog, and when she then indicates in an email that she’s been reading, I ask her, “Would you drive to a friend’s house, sit outside for awhile, taking stock of the gardens and place in general, but not tuck a note in the door or leave a phone message saying, ‘I stopped by!’”
I’m not sure she takes my point.
Congrats on having all of readers, no matter how we show up!
