I aim to provide a fusion blog - countryside with occasional forays into the local city. Humour and eccentricity the main ingredients with hopefully, some useful natural history facts! I teach Ecology, Natural History and Geology at the local University and am married with one son and three grandchildren. My father was Scottish and Irish, my mother was a mixture of English, Norwegian and Swedish. My hobbies are many and various, including animals, music, painting, reading, travel etc. I believe in individuality and eccentricity. My epitaph would be "She lived life to the full!"
