Ohhhh, its so cold!!!!!
We had a bit of a thaw yesterday but then it froze again last night so we now have ice over and under the snow. Great hard ridges of it along the lane verges making for uncomfortable as well as difficult walking.
I am trying to walk a little every day but it is really difficult with no balance when it is slippery, even with sticks. And the ice is impossible. So indoor exercise I think today.
Even husband who enjoys rude good health is complaining about the temperature: I have even heard mutterings of moving to the South of France, previously an unheard of concept for him. It must be cold.
My last camera has developed a huge black spot on the lens: clearly in sympathy with my own predicament! So I have a new one. And am longing to get using it so that I can put photos on this blog. But guess what? There is no Handbook. At least there is, but only an online one. I have spent hours trying to download it and print it, only to find that my printer has given up the ghost. So I email it to husband. But it is in PDF and he cannot open PDF: so I find a converter to Word, convert it on my computer, resend it to him, and his printer still cannot print it. What useless technophobes we must be.
So …… I have the downloaded Word form on my computer, have magnified it 200% so that it is legible to the world above the size of a gnat, but have to open my computer each time I want to look up something about my camera. Whereas before, when beginning with a new camera, I used to take the handbook out with me, until I was really familiar with everything.
Hence, no photos of the ice:(
Clearly, the photography will have to be indoors today as well, while I dash to the computer each time I want to try something out.
Is it just me, or is life getting more difficult by the day.
